‘If I can not have them, neither are you able to’: Father accused of drowning his three kids earlier than leaving word for spouse

A person accused of murdering his three kids left a word for his estranged spouse saying: “If I can not have them, neither are you able to”, prosecutors have stated.

Jason Karels, 35, of Spherical Lake Seaside within the US state of Illinois, is accused of drowning five-year-old Bryant Karels, three-year-old Cassidy Karels and two-year-old Gideon Karels.

The word was discovered when cops had been despatched to Karels’ house, and it was talked about in his bond listening to.

In response to a report by NBC, the kids had been spending the weekend with their father when he allegedly drowned them within the bathtub earlier than leaving their our bodies on a mattress.

They had been discovered by their mom, Debra Karels, when she got here to gather them.

In feedback reported by the broadcaster, she stated her kids had been “three lovely little souls that did not deserve this”.

“A very powerful factor to me is the children and he took that away from me.

“He knew that and knew that nothing mattered to me however these kids.”

Mrs Karels informed CBS that she and her husband had been going via a divorce on the time.

Karels was arrested on Monday after crashing his automotive whereas being pursued by police, based on Spherical Lake Seaside Police Chief Gilbert Rivera.

He informed officers that he was chargeable for the deaths of his kids and that he had tried to kill himself earlier than fleeing from his house.

His blood was later present in the home.

Karels was ordered to be held on a $10m bond however the state lawyer’s workplace will carry the case again to courtroom on 13 July in a bid to have him held with out the potential of a money bond.
