‘Maniac’ driver serving life sentence for killing dinner girl absconds from open jail

A “maniac” driver who was jailed for all times for mowing down and killing a college dinner girl has absconded from an open jail.

Alan Paul Metal had a string of driving convictions, together with harmful driving and driving whereas disqualified, earlier than ploughing into 32-year-old Paula Stead in September 2006.
