A janitor was shocked to find a “misplaced and scared” mountain lion cub in an empty classroom in a faculty in California.
The employees member was opening the varsity originally of the day on Wednesday once they discovered the cub hiding underneath the instructor’s desk, officers stated.
No college students or lecturers had been at Pescadero Excessive College on the time.
An image on social media confirmed the animal had made itself comfy by curling up subsequent to furnishings.
Javier Acosto, a detective within the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Workplace, stated: “The mountain lion casually walked by campus and determined to enter an English classroom.
“The custodian acted shortly and managed to close the door behind it.”
The animal appeared “misplaced and scared”, he stated.
It isn’t recognized how the mountain lion, a male estimated to be between 4 and 6 months outdated and weigh 40lbs, managed to enter the varsity.
Officers from the state wildlife division tranquilised the animal and despatched it to the Oakland Zoo for examination.
The zoo stated it will keep there as it’s too younger to outlive alone within the wild.
Mountain lions spend their first two years studying from their moms, however officers haven’t seen another mountain lions within the space that might be associated to the cub.

Pescadero is a small coastal group about 35 miles south of San Francisco.
