Hannah Rankin says world title opponent Alejandra Ayala has woken from an induced coma after being admitted to hospital for surgical procedure.

The Scot retained her WBA and IBO super-welterweight titles with a Tenth-round knockout on 13 Could.

Mexican Ayala was handled within the ring afterwards earlier than being taken to a Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth College Hospital.
